Batemans Bay and the surrounding areas offer a wealth of tourism opportunities, from swimming and fishing to zoos, historic towns and villages, art galleries and nature walks.

Mogo Zoo supoorts many endangered species and has a leading captive breeding program. Mogo Zoo is open every day (except Christmas Day) between 9 and 5 - feeding times are highlight of the day and start at 10:30 and 1:30.

Fishing and Boating have always been a popular recreational pastimes on the NSW South Coast. Batemans Bay has several excellent boat launching ramps and the marina. There are also many well stocked fishing tackle shops to help with all your fishing needs.

Mogo Village is an historic old gold mining town just 10 minutes south of Batemans Bay. The shopping area features many art and craft shops, cafes, antiques, jewellery and furniture.

Botanic Gardens: The Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens are a ten minute drive from the Bayside Motel - just 5km south of Batemans Bay. Set on 42 hectares the gardens feature plant species primarily from the Eurobodalla but also includes species from the Shoalhaven, Palerang and Bega shires.

Opals and Shells: The Treasures from the Deep shell collection has been collected from around the world over a period of 30 years and the opal collection comes from 25 years experience in opal mining at the major Australian opal fields. Treasures from the Deep is a ten minute walk from the Bayside Motel and next door to the Catalina Country Club.
